May is always quieter in Noosa. Easter has finished and the buzzing excitement of tourists holidaying has waned. The air is a little cooler and tourism Noosa is hosting its May Fiesta throughout the area. Its only five days before the Audi Noosa Food and Wine Festival begins at the Lions Park in Noosa and there is a build of enthusiasm and energy.
Artificialfloors and marquees are being placed down by the river, there are flyers, pamphlets and guests chefs beginning to appear in the streets. There is much talk of who is who, who is where and what food will be presented. The Audi Noosa Food and Wine Festival is a showground for those who love food, wine and entertainment. You will meet restaurant Managers, Restaurant owners, winemakers and celebrity Chef’s working side by side to excite your palate.
This event has become one of my favorite Noosa weekends. Its passionate. Its fun. Its busy and cudos must go to Jim Berardo for taking the food and wine festival to a National market. The ticket prices may seem a little steep but you can be guaranteed a great day out with live music and a social atmosphere, I always think it is well worth it.
I will be at the Festival on Sunday, serving BBQ Portuguese Chicken for Executive Chef Paul Leete as he and Mark McNamara prepare for our Sunday Sails Appellation dinner with four courses and matching wines (tickets are purchased through the J). If you stop by to say hello, I will be the one smiling from ear to ear as I listen to the live music and serve fabulous food in the Noosa outdoors.
