Gourmet traveller Wine List of the Year Awards 2014

It’s exciting news! Ring the bells and sound some trumpets, as Sails Restaurant has for the fourth year running been nominated three goblets at the the prestigious Gourmet Traveller Wine List of the Year Awards. The highly coveted rating of three goblets are awarded to restaurants who show a collection of wines that offer quality, originality and variety. According to Gourmet Traveller WIne List of the Year Awards are rated under the direction of chief judge Peter Forrestal, each wine list entered is assessed by two judges and given a score and a rating: three glasses (90-100 points); two glasses (80-89 points); one glass (70-79 points). Those scoring less than 70 points do not receive a rating and are not featured in our guide. From the results come the 18 award winners. Sails Restaurant Noosa is the only venue in Queensland to have been awarded a rating between 90 and 100 points for their wine list four years running. Its a celebration!!! So come on in and drink one or two of those wines that get us high in the awards and see what the fuss is about.
